Application Prep: 5 Documents You Need
Having these documents ready before you apply can speed up your funding process by 3x. Most delays happen because applicants need time to gather paperwork.
1. Bank Statements (Last 3-6 months)
Your business checking account statements are the most important documents. They show your revenue, cash flow patterns, and ending balances.
- • PDF format preferred (download from online banking)
- • Make sure all pages are included
- • Full account number should be visible
2. Business Tax Returns (Last 1-2 years)
Complete tax returns help lenders verify your business history and annual revenue.
- • Include all schedules and attachments
- • If recently filed, prior year is acceptable
- • Extensions are okay if you have documentation
3. Government-Issued ID
A current, valid photo ID for identity verification.
- • Driver's license or passport
- • Must not be expired
- • Clear, readable photo or scan
4. Voided Business Check
Used for ACH setup and bank verification.
- • Must show business name
- • Account and routing numbers visible
- • Or a bank letter with same information
5. Proof of Business Ownership
Documentation showing you own and operate the business.
